METAR Indonesia PRO: Your Aviation Weather Info
METAR Indonesia PRO or MetarindoPRO is a full version Android app developed by Nuansa Cerah Informasi. It is a weather app that covers more than 100 airports in Indonesia, providing aviation weather info from the Indonesian Agency for Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics (BMKG). This app is very useful for flight planning as it gives you access to Meteorological Aerodrome Report (METAR), Terminal Aerodrome Forecast (TAF), and Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) data.
One of the new features of this app is the Cloud Top Temperature Infrared Enhanced Satellite Image. It also provides a High-Level Significant Weather Report Chart, making it easier for you to plan your flight accordingly. With this app, you can search for airports by name, ICAO, and IATA codes. Additionally, it decodes METAR for wind speed and direction, varying direction and gusting, cloud observation, visibility, sky phenomenon like rain and haze, runway visual range (RVR) and windshear alert, temperature, dew point, and QNH. TAF or TAFOR are also decoded for TEMPO and BECMG element. Lastly, it allows you to share raw METAR, TAF, and NOTAM data on other social media apps like Whatsapp and Facebook.
